Selecting files
- Click a file to select it and open it on the right.
- Hold Ctrl and click to add or remove files from the selection.
- Hold Shift and click to select a range.
Dragging
- Drag files from File Explorer onto the list to add them. Drop them on a folder to add them straight into that folder.
- Drag a file from File Explorer onto the editor on the right to open it. It is added to the list at the same time.
- Grab a file anywhere to the left of its description box and drag it up or down to reorder.
- Drop a file onto a folder, or between files of a folder, to move it there. The folder you will land in is highlighted.
- Drag a folder header to move the folder together with its files. The Unfiled section always stays at the bottom.
- With several files selected, dragging one moves the whole selection.
Right-click menus
- On a file: Save, Close, and Move to folder.
- On a file that is missing: Replace with another file, Reconnect missing files, and Remove from list.
- On a folder: Add files (from the list or from File Explorer), Rename folder, and Delete folder.
- On empty space below the list: New Folder, New File and Add File.
Buttons above the list
- Add File and New File add files. Save, Save All, Close, Close All and Print work on the selected or all files.
- Find, Replace and Replace All open the search and replace bars.
- New Folder, Save Layout and Load Layout sit above the list. The x at the right end of each row closes that file, and asks first if it has unsaved changes.
- The search box filters the list by file name, description or content.
- The theme button at the top right switches between light and dark.
Editor controls
Above the editor you can toggle word wrap, make the text larger or smaller with the magnifier buttons, and preview HTML files. The footer shows the line count, character count and the encoding of the file.
